Office Policies

Illness

Massage/bodywork is not appropriate care for infectious or contagious illness. Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of an infectious or contagious condition. If it is within the 24-hour notice period, the cancellation fee may be waived.

Tardiness

Appointment times are as scheduled and cannot extend beyond the stated time to accommodate late arrivals. Full service fees will be applied even when sessions are shortened due to late arrival. Please be on time to your appointment.

Cancellation and No-Show

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so within 24 hours of  your scheduled appointment time. If you fail to cancel within 24 hours or simply no show your scheduled appointment time,  I reserve the right to charge you 100% of the service.

  • Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will incur a fee equivalent to 100% of the charge for the missed session.
  • Appointments missed without notification (“no-show”) will incur a fee equivalent to 100% of the charge for the missed session.
  • After three consecutive “no-show” occurrences, I may elect to terminate your relationship with my practice

I do understand that emergencies, illness and inclement weather may prevent you from making your appointment.  Your health and safety is important to me.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you are sick or can not make it in due to an emergency or poor weather.  Late cancellations due to emergency, illness or weather will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Medical Concerns

It is your responsibility to inform me of any medical changes and additional treatments you are receiving from a physician, physical therapist, chiropractor or other healthcare professional. In some cases where massage may be contraindicated, you may be required to provide a medical release form from your healthcare provider giving permission for massage therapy to proceed.

Clients undergoing therapy for cancer, such as radiation and chemotherapy, will be required to provide a medical release form from a physician before scheduling an appointment.
